SUMMARY:SPELLING BEE 2019
DESCRIPTION:Recap of CWB’s sold out Spelling Bee Competition where we hosted participants from different parts of the GTA. On behalf of CWB\, we would like to thank the judge panelists\, Mary Faizi\, Ali Abbas and Nabila Shamsheri\, our sponsors Matin Kara – Sun Life Financial advisor  Optical Lounge\, Connecting GTA\, DK Signs\, YouthTalk\, our photographer Jawed Afzali\, videographer Qahar Raufi and Mustafa Saamy. Through this competition\, CWB was able to raise $1960 which will help us take another child out of labour in Afghanistan. Last but not least\, a huge congrats to each and every member of CWB Team!!!

SUMMARY:INTERFAITH & KHATEM QURAN
DESCRIPTION:Recent attacks at worship centres have caused division among communities and individuals however on May 26\, 2019. Children Without Borders proudly hosted an interfaith Iftar where scholars and representatives from irrespective of their religion attended and delivered speeches of solidarity and harmony. We were honoured by the presence of Mr. Amarjit Kharujia from the Durham sikh community\, Mr. Michael Lublin from Jewish community\, Pastor John Kurish\, Pandit Ranbit and Mufti Menan from the Pickering Islamic Centre.  \nOur gratitude goes to Mayor Shaun Collier\, Mr. Dev Ramkallie from MP mark Holland’s office\, MPP Rod Phillips\, Mr. Tom Dingwall MP candidate for Ajax\, city councilor Sterling Lee and Ashmeed Khan\, Mr. Aziz Amiri\, Mr. Tamim Sediqui\, Mr. Tariq Fahimi and Acceio Pickering for their ongoing support\, Kubra Mir from CCWM Durham chapter and Zarmina Nekzai for their support to CWB. Thank you Qahar Raufi for capturing these moments and a huge shout out to Durham Catering Services and Naan & Kabob for the most delicious food. Last but not least thank you to our dedicated members and volunteers for making this such an amazing and productive event where we raised $4386.00 to assist families in Afghanistan.

SUMMARY:MATH COMPETITION 2019
DESCRIPTION:Children Without Borders had the honour of hosting its 2nd Annual Math Competition on April 13\, 2019. We had over 160 participants and over 300 participants. CWB was honoured with the presence of Shaun Collier\, Mayor of Ajax\, MP Mark Holland\, a rep from Minister and MPP Rod Phillips’ office\, Mr. Gaganjot Singh and Nasir Khalid\, president of Omidtv+ and Mr. Aziz Amiri\, President of Canada Afghanistan Business Council. Thank you to all the parents that registered their children to participate as well as support a great cause. Through this competition\, we raised a total of $2381.00. Which will help us take TWO children out of Child Labour and sponsor them for ONE fulll year.  \nCWB would like to thank its generous sponsors EESA Group\, LifePlan Investments\, Kumon\, Bakhter Sarafi Canada\, Naan & Kabob\, Dk Sign Print\, Connecting GTA and Paceflo. A huge thank you to Kubra Mir for making a donation as well as donating clothes to Wardrobe 4 Hope! In addition\, we would like to thank Mr. Tariq Fahimi and Tamim Sediqui for leading the round table discussion for parents and Roian Shams and Zohal Kerami in the judges panel. Last but not least\, a huge shout out to CWB team members who went above and beyond and spent countless hours in turning this competition to a successful and SOLD OUT event. SUMMARY:MATH COMPETITION OCT 2018
DESCRIPTION:On October 27th 2018\, CWB hosted its first annual math competition in the city of Ajax\, Ontario. We had over 100 participants and CWB was honoured with the presence of Shaun Collier\, Mayor of Ajax. Educational giveaways such as Laptops\, Tablets\, or KINDLE and so much more were given out to participants to use throughout the school year. Not only did every child have a chance to score these prizes\, but each participant received a certificate of participation and a loot bag with school supplies. Proceeds raised from this competition were used to putting more children who are engaged in child labour back in school!

SUMMARY:CWB KHATEM QURAN
DESCRIPTION:Our Khatam Quran was held on June 10\, 2018 at Zee Palace. The newly elected MPP of AJAX\, Rod Phillips as well as mayor of AJAX was in attendance along with highly reputable community leaders. Children Without Borders is grateful and honoured to have such great support. Our CWB Team Members who worked so hard during the month of Ramadan and not only fed 500 homeless people in Toronto but also fed over 120 poor families in Afghanistan in collaboration with Rana Wardak.

SUMMARY:SPELLING BEE 2018
DESCRIPTION:CWB has hosted its first ever Afghan Spelling Bee Competition in April 2018. The outcome was beyond our expectation. We had contestants not only from the Afghan community but from India\, Pakistan and Tamil communities. We had our dedicated judges Suleiman Firmly\, Yalda M Firmly\, Yelda Nuri and Tariq Fahimi from the Afghan community as well.  Our passionate team members Zabi Wakeely\, Fariah Saidi and Mursal Tahiri had put strong effort into this event including our host Mustafa Saamy and our volunteer Mujtaba Walid.  \nSecondly a huge thank you to our media partners: OMID 24 TV\, Television Of People and Nayab Magazine. We would also like to thank Acceio Pickering for giving all the participants loot bags that included school supply. Last but not least Skyview Security and Thorncliffe Banquet Hall and all of our sponsors Pentagon Insurance  Group Inc\, Nasar Noorzad\, Siyar Popal\, Yama Lodin-Remax Realtron\, Ali Zamani\, Dr. Paywandi\, Omar Mansoury\, and Shekaiba Osmani who helped us in having a successful and fun-filled educational event!
