Cold Hands, Warm Hearts 2022

As the winter season sets in, there are fears that more than 28 million people in Afghanistan will need humanitarian assistance as temperatures begin to plummet inside the country. Affected families, particularly those working in the cold streets or living in poor shelters, will desperately need immediate aid to fend off the bitter cold this year.

Economic sanctions and restrictions from the international community have hit our homeland, Afghanistan, hard since the takeover of the de-facto government in August last year, making the country’s humanitarian crisis even worse.

To make winter bearable for the affectees in Afghanistan, CWB, in partnership with the Afghan Student Association of McMaster University, aims to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to assist child labourers, widows and their families this winter across provinces such as Kabul, Mazar, Herat, Logar, Ghazni and Faryab.

Our Goal:

This winter, we will be providing food packages to families across Afghanistan that will include essential food items such as:

Rice (25kg)

Flour (50kg)

Oil (10 Kg)

Beans (4kg)

Chickpeas (4kg)

Tea (1kg)

Sugar

Salt (1 Bag)

Potatoes (4Kg)

Onions (4Kg)

Support our mission to reach thousands in Afghanistan and help them survive the rough weather this year. By donating $100 CAD, you can help a family of 6-7 people, stay warm, healthy and protected this winter!
